Important notes

This service is a 20 minute drive on a good day from Croydon University Hospital A&E . It could take up to 40 minutes at peak times.

This service is available to walk-in patients. There is no X-ray service within the GP Hubs, these services will treat the majority of injuries and ailments, if you’re in doubt of the best service for you please call 111.

Our GP Hubs deliver GP services as you would expect at your GP practice. The following are examples of issues we can treat:

  • Cuts, scratches and bruises
  • Sprains & Strains
  • Bites
  • Minor burns
  • Minor eye injuries
  • Minor head injuries (without having passed out)
  • Minor injuries to limbs, body and face
  • Minor illnesses (including infections)
  • First aid

Issues that we cannot treat at a GP Hub include:

  • Repeat prescribing
  • Test requests (ultrasound, urine etc)
  • Dental problems
  • Open wound injuries for very young children
  • Injuries where an object has gone all the way through a part of the body
  • Very heavy bleeding that is not stopping, including nose bleeds
  • Injuries where broken glass may have entered the wound
  • Injuries requiring x-ray
